PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna system for a mobile wireless unit hardly susceptible to the effect of noise from a terminal apparatus and for suppressing deterioration in the reception sensitivity that is used for a card type mobile wireless unit with excellent radio performance. SOLUTION: The antenna system for the card type mobile wireless unit is used by being inserted into the terminal apparatus 6 such as a personal computer and a PDA, wherein a feeding point 11, a matching circuit 12, and aλ/4 antenna 10 are placed on a board 16 with a wireless circuit 13, is characterized in that it includes aλ/4 ground line 14 whose first end is opened and terminated in the vicinity of theλ/4 antenna 10 and whose second end is short-circuited by a GND 15 for decreasing a current of an enclosure.
