摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for directly and highly accurately detecting the laser beam-converged position of an optical module, and realizing shortening of the time for peak search. SOLUTION: The laser beam propagating in the core parts and clad parts of the optical fibers 2 is detected. The laser beam-converged position is measured by determining the total quantity of the light entering the entire part of the optical fibers 2 and the optical fibers are center aligned and positioned. Further, the laser beam-converged position is measured from the quantity of the light entering the cores or the quantity of the light entering the clads and the optical fibers are aligned and positioned.
