PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent skews in printing in a paper feed structure in which a continuous paper is manually inserted into an external paper feed opening of a printer body. SOLUTION: In a printer 1 which has the external paper feed opening 4 for the continuous paper 3, a printing part 11 which carries out printing to the continuous paper 3, a transfer means 31 for transferring a leading end of the continuous paper 3 to the printing part 11, and sensors 6 and 10 arranged at the upstream side and downstream side of the transfer means 31, the printer 20 features that the transfer means 31 is controlled by the first sensor 6 of the upstream side and the second sensor 10 of the downstream side.
