WET GAS PURIFICATION METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PRACTICING THE SAME

A wet gas purification method for removing ammonia in a gas, characterized in that it comprises a step of washing with water in which makeup water is fed continuously or intermittently for absorbing an ammonia component in the gas, to allow the water to absorb ammonia in the gas and remove it from the gas, and an ammonia treatment step of stripping off ammonia from an effluent having absorbed ammonia, to separate the effluent into an off-gas containing ammonia and a residual effluent, wherein the makeup water is fed so as for the gas after the washing step to have an ammonia concentration of 10 ppm or less; and a system for practicing the method. The method allows the practice of wet gas purification at a reduced running cost for operation, with simple and easy operation procedures and systems, and with high reliability.
