摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for determining the duty ratio of a light emission device which can raise the reliability of the light emission device so that constant luminance can be obtained while suppressing a degradation in light emitting elements, and a driving method of the light emission device using the duty ratio. <P>SOLUTION: In a graph which is obtained by integrating the graph of the amount of fall off of luminance after X hours with respect to the current density of a light emitting element when the luminance of the light emitting element is set to a specific value and the graph of the amount of fall off of luminance after X hours with respect to a duty ratio of the light emitting element, the light emission device is driven by a duty ratio within limits with which the amount of fall off of luminance equal to or less than 1.5 times of the minimum value of the luminance or preferably the amount of fall off of the luminance less than 1.2 times of the minimum value is obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
