PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structural member made of FRP, which is lightweight, highly rigid and excellent in corrosion resistance and vibration damping characteristics, and makes manufacturing costs lower than a conventional type. SOLUTION: This structural member made of the FRP, including reinforcing fibers, includes carbon fibers (a) wherein a tensional modulus of elasticity is set at 400-850 GPa, and the carbon fibers (a) are arranged in such a manner that the direction of the orientation of the carbon fibers (a) is made parallel to the longitudinal direction of the member.
