PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal printer capable of performing highly precise thermal history correction at low cost. SOLUTION: Original image data stored in a main memory 13 is transferred to a thermal history correction circuit 21 of a signal processing device 14 on a DMA operation by controlling of a DMAC 12, and then the thermal history correction is performed. Thermal history correction data obtained by the thermal history correction is stored in a main memory by a CPU.
