The method involves transporting the particle mixture (1) through a first process region and moving it relative to at least one solid-state body surface. Repeated contacts take place between the particles and surface, charging the different particles to first and second electrical states. A change in the state of motion of the particles takes place as a result of acceleration of the particles by force transfer between the particles and surface.
