Method for simulation of a process flow in the graphical industry has the following steps: input or selection of a job data record; input or selection of a process flow record; calculation of links between job data and process data records dependent on the job and process records; generation of a process flow from the calculated links; calculation of results and intermediate results for the process flow with the originating contract record; and output of the results or intermediate results. An Independent claim is made for a device for simulation of a process flow in the graphical industry.
