The invention relates to a method for copying a printing plate. Said plate i s used for humid offset printing and comprises a basic substrate and a solvent soluble photosensitive layer. The inventive method consists in removing said photosensitive layer from adequate areas by deposing droplets of solvent thereon and in rinsing the plate in order to evacuate the deposed inactive solvent loaded with said photosensitive layer which is removed from the adequate areas.
