<p>A first gas supply channel (22) extends at right angles to the direction of web (55) movement. A second gas supply channel (34) branches from the first, extending along or against the run of the web. This (34) has blowing nozzles or nozzle arrays (35) spaced along it, or in the first direction. The second gas supply channel is curved, in order to allow turning of the web. Further variants and developments based on the foregoing principles are described. The unit may be implemented as an installation module which can be handled as a unit.
