METHOD FOR PROVIDING CALL HOLDING SERVICE IN SWITCH AND SWITCH SYSTEM THEREFOR

PURPOSE: A method for providing a call holding service in a switch and a switch system therefor are provided to offer a call holding service provision function in a central switch system terminal. CONSTITUTION: A call control unit of a switch receives a call holding event from the first user terminal. The call control unit retrieves subscriber information corresponding to the received call holding event with reference to a recording device. The call control unit judges whether it is possible for processing the call holding event according to retrieved subscriber information. If it is possible for processing the call holding event, the call control unit transmits a call holding success message to the first user terminal. The call control unit transmits a call holding execution message to the second user terminal.
