A deformable bag for transporting powder comprises a closed end and an opposed open end, the open end defining an aperture which is less than half the maximum width of the bag. The side walls of the bag taper inwardly between maximum width and aperture, with the aperture being supported by and defined by an elongate collar 42 attached to the bag. The collar 42 is preferably cylindrical and includes a conical lead-in face 50 for complimentary engagement with the tapered sides of the bag 40. A flange member 48 may also be included on a free end of the collar 42 which is remote from the bag. A support member 79 maybe included across the closed end of the bag, with an hole 83 defined therein allowing hanging of the bag 40 on an external fitting. The bag 40 and collar 42 maybe made from plastics material with the bag 40 preferably being multi-layered. A method of forming the deformable bag 40 is also disclosed. |
