CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION OF SPHERICAL BODY FORM INCLUDING DIFFERENTIAL FUNCTION

PURPOSE: A continuously variable transmission of a spherical body form including a differential function is provided to execute continuously variable speed change through simplified structure by using the spherical body, to improve torque capacity and efficiency by minimizing slip produced from a contact point to which power is transmitted, and to improve the durability of inner parts of the transmission. CONSTITUTION: A continuously variable transmission of a spherical body form including a differential function comprises a pair of input bevel gears(1) connected to a driving source and formed integrally with an input shaft; two pairs of spherical bodies(2) to which driving force is transmitted through each input bevel gear; a pair of output disks(3) receiving the driving force of the spherical bodies by point contact with the spherical bodies; a pair of side gears of first differential gears engaging with gears integrally formed to the outer peripheral surface of the output disks; a pair of pinions of the first differential gears receiving the power from the side gears of the first differential gears; pinion shafts of first and second differential gears receiving power by the pinion gears of the first differential gears; a pair of pinion gears of second differential gears receiving power by the pinion shafts; a pair of side gears of second differential devices receiving power by the pinion gears of the second differential gears; a pair of output shafts receiving power by the side gears of the second differential gears; a shift control shaft(10) rotating by receiving control torque for shifting and rotating a variator driving shaft(12) integrally formed with a worm gear(11); the worm gear installed to increase torque of operating variators(13); the variator driving shaft rotating the variator; and the variators having a shift function by turning rotating shafts of the spherical bodies.
