<p>It was impossible to easily carry recorded images and sound by using a low-capacity memory medium and to receive them in the open air. <??>The present invention is a recording/reproducing apparatus comprising a compression stream generation means 4 of generating (1) a first bit stream and (2) a second bit stream having a bit rate less than the bit rate of the first bit stream by using a video signal input externally, a recording/modulation means 14 of recording the generated first bit stream and the generated second bit stream on a predetermined medium, a first digital interface 21 of outputting the recorded first bit stream, and a second digital interface 22, having an interface connectable to a predetermined compact memory apparatus, of outputting the recorded second bit stream. <IMAGE></p> |
