Bag (1) for transporting liquid or tissue samples takes the form of a folded plastic foil (2) whose layers (5, 6) are joined to one another along the top edge (8), in addition to the side edges (3, 4). The top layer (5) is provided with a slit which runs parallel to the top edge and serves as an access opening (11) into the chamber (10) of the bag.
