PURPOSE: An apparatus for calling a designated call in a telephone and a method therefor are provided to maximize the convenience of use and protect privacy by calling a designated listener. CONSTITUTION: A voice network part(101) receives a voice signal inputted from the outside, and transmits the inputted digital voice signal to the outside. A ring detector(102) detects an incoming ring signal inputted from an exchange access line. A central processing unit(103) controls the voice network part(101) according to the detected ring signal. A digital signal processor(104) converts the voice signal into a digital voice signal according to a control signal output from the central processing unit(103). A voice storage unit(105) stores the digital voice signal and an output unit(106) transmits the digital voice signal according to the control signal of the central processing unit(103).
