METHOD FOR GUIDING TUNING POINT IN CAR NAVIGATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for guiding a turning point in a car navigation system is provided to enable a driver to recognize correctly the turning point by displaying a shape of road, a turning direction, and a turning state within a traveling path on a monitor. CONSTITUTION: A traveling path between a present position and a destination is detected(200). The traveling path is divided into plural guide sections based on turning points, and a vehicle guide selection is set up within the guide sections(202-204). An arrow is displayed on a monitor when a vehicle approaches the vehicle guide selection to perform a turning guide process. The mileage the vehicle is calculated and displayed on the monitor(206). The next vehicle guide section is set up if the vehicle does not approach the destination, if not returning the process of setting the guide section (212).
