The drum is combined with a suction casing (10) partially entering its interior and connected to a source of suction. Near a cutter, there is an opening in the suction casing, leading to a suction channel (36). This channel includes an upstream auxiliary air input opening, assisting pneumatic conveying of the cuttings.
