APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR TRACKING LOCATION OF MOBILE TERMINAL

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for tracking the location of a mobile terminal are provided to directly estimate a radio wave error through radio wave measurement used in a mobile communication system and reduce the location error of the mobile terminal. CONSTITUTION: A location signal acquiring unit(203) receives a radio wave TOA(Time Of Arrival) signal, a radio wave TDOA(Time Difference Of Arrival) signal and a radio wave AOA(Angle Of Arrival) signal from a mobile communication system. The location signal acquiring unit(203) acquires a location signal from a reference signal received from a satellite, and outputs the location signal. An error range setup unit(205) sets a radio delay error range by the signal received from the mobile communication system among outputs of the location signal acquiring unit(203). A radio wave error estimating unit(207) estimates a radio wave delay error by a primary location value calculated by the output of the error range setup unit(205) and the signal received from the location signal acquiring unit(203). A location calculating unit(209) calculates the primary location value from the signal of the location signal acquiring unit(203), calculates a secondary location value by the error estimation value received from the radio wave error estimating unit(207) and the primary location value, and outputs the secondary location value.
