PURPOSE: An apparatus for canceling ghost is provided to minimize the quantization noise of an A/D converting unit by adjusting a DC level of a tuned signal to be suitable for the input range of the A/D converting unit. CONSTITUTION: A control unit(30) calculates an amplification coefficient(a) for amplifying a video signal inputted to an A/D converting unit(33) and a DC bias coefficient(b) for adjusting a DC bias from input ranges admitted by the A/D converting unit(33) and the maximum value and the minimum value of the inputted video signal. An AGC(Automatic Gain Control) unit(32) receives the amplification coefficient(a) outputted from the control unit(30), and amplifies the inputted video signal. A clamper(31) receives the DC bias coefficient(b) outputted from the control unit(30), and adjusts the DC bias of the inputted video signal.
