PURPOSE: A telephone terminal in which a wireless modem is installed is provided to make a call with an object by installing the wireless modem in a card slot of the telephone terminal. CONSTITUTION: A display unit(11) displays a call connection process and state. A keypad(12) converts a button input signal of a user into an electric signal, and outputs the electric signal. A signal processing unit(13) performs a work according to the button input signal transmitted from the keypad(12), and transmits the operation state of a telephone terminal(10) to the display unit(11). A central control unit(14) analyzes a user command inputted from the signal processing unit(13), and instructs a work corresponding to the analyzed result to each peripheral device. A wireless modem control unit(15) controls the operation of an external communication module according to a communication command of the central control unit(14). A wireless modem(20) is inserted into a card slot in which the external communication module is installed. The wireless modem(20) connects to a mobile communication network, and performs a data communication according to the operation control of the wireless modem control unit(15).
