A radiographic image reading apparatus for reading radiographic image information from a storage phosphor sheet, includes: a conveyance mechanism for conveying the storage phosphor sheet, a cassette holding the storage phosphor sheet, or a part of the cassette holding the storage phosphor sheet; and a conveyance mechanism inclining mechanism for inclining the conveyance mechanism; wherein when the storage phosphor sheet, the cassette holding the storage phosphor sheet, or the part of the cassette holding the storage phosphor sheet, is jammed while the storage phosphor sheet, the cassette holding the storage phosphor sheet, or the part of the cassette holding the storage phosphor sheet is conveyed by the conveyance mechanism, the conveyance mechanism inclining mechanism inclines the conveyance mechanism so as to be able to remove the storage phosphor sheet, the cassette holding the storage phosphor sheet, or the part of the cassette holding the storage phosphor sheet from the radiographic image reading apparatus. <IMAGE> |
