POSITION MEASURING DEVICE FOR TRANSMITTING POSITION INFORMATION OF RADIOACTIVE SOURCE AND RADIOACTIVE DEVICE

PURPOSE: A position measuring device for transmitting position information of a radioactive source and a radioactive device is provided to easily check the position of the radioactive source and the radioactive device in real-time when the radioactive source and the radioactive device are transported/used/damaged/missed, or escaped to a bad communication area. CONSTITUTION: A GPS(Global Positioning System) receiver(110) measures the position of the radioactive source or device by receiving a GPS signal for a GPS satellite. A CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) terminal(130) converts the position information into a wireless signal and receives a control command by transmitting the position information data to a control system through a mobile communication network. An electric wave transmitter(140) transmits an electric wave in spite of a shadow area for the communication network. A one-chip microprocessor(120) controls each component. A lead switch(160) sends an abnormality signal to the one-chip microprocessor when the position measuring device is removed from the radioactive source or device intentionally or accidentally.
