METHOD FOR DESIGNING MENU AND REMOTE CONTROL USING SYSTEM STATE INFORMATION

PURPOSE: A method for designing a menu and a remote control using system state information is provided to increase usability by presenting required functions in the right place, and maximize the satisfaction of users by reducing the number of remote control buttons. CONSTITUTION: A user operates a menu driving button(11). The current state of a system is grasped(12). User goals corresponding to the current system state are grasped through a state-goal database and a state-goal algorithm(13). A group of the user goals is provided to the user by a certain standard(16). The user selects one of the user goals(17). The selected user goal is executed(18).
