PURPOSE: A method for preparing a polymer electrolyte fuel cell using a ruthenium metal oxide is provided, to improve the diffusion efficiency of a fuel and a reaction product, to prevent the loss of a catalyst and to enhance the performance of a battery. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of mixing a water-soluble alcohol-based solvent with polytetrafluoroethylene, and adding a ruthenium metal oxide(RuO2) to the mixture to mix them with stirring, and (S110) coating the mixture on a carbon paper or a carbon cloth used as the supporter layer of a catalyst to form a diffusion layer; (S120) heating the diffusion layer; (S130) forming a catalyst layer by using a cathode and anode catalyst; and (S140) forming an electrode electrolyte structure through the thermal compression of the obtained one and a pretreated polymer electrolyte. Preferably the diffusion layer has a thickness of 10-100 micrometers. |
