The digital invoice reading code application involves specially written software and available optical readers making it possible to read digitally all invoice data from received invoices, also those from external suppliers. The general purchasing regulating data are stored in a detail regulating bar code. The contents cover all relevant details necessary to take the invoice information in a responsible manner into the bookkeeping system. The invoice receiver reads the bar codes with a standard optical reader. After agreement, the information is read into the bookkeeping program of the receiver by means of a specifically formed plug-in software.
