PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that the printing preparation is started after printing data is received by a printer, consequently, it takes a long time before a printing operation is actually started therefore a waiting time is prolonged. SOLUTION: Printing preparation demand message is given to a printing start control part 205 by the editing processing part 203 of an electrophotographic printer 1 after a WARM-CMD from the printer driver 420 of a host device 400 is received by the part 203. The printing preparation demand information is given to an engine state monitoring part 302 by the printing start control part 205 after the message is received by the part 205, temperature control start information is sent to a fixing device control part 308 by the engine state monitoring part 302. On receiving the information, the control is started by the fixing device control part 308 so that the temperature of a heating roller 107a may become a printing allowable temperature. |
