PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small optical waveguide type demagnetification image sensor in which reading can be performed with high sensitivity and high S/N while simplifying the manufacturing process. SOLUTION: The optical waveguide type demagnetification image sensor comprises an optical waveguide array 2 to be introduced with an input light from an object, and a photoelectric conversion element array 3 for converting the output light from the optical waveguide array 2 into an electric signal. The optical waveguide 1 of the optical waveguide array 2 has an input end tapered to enlarge in the main and sub-scanning directions so that the input light from the object enters directly into the incident end part of the optical waveguide 1. |
