PURPOSE: An air conditioner is provided to allow easy arrangement of a power cord by allowing the power cord to be elastically released and wound. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioner includes a main body installed to a wall or a window, having a blower and a heat exchanger built therein, and driven by an outside power source; a power cord(84) penetrating a power cord penetrating hole(82) formed on one side of the main body to supply outside power; and a cord reel assembly(86) installed in the main body to elastically release or wind the power cord. The cord reel assembly includes a bobbin(88) allowing the power cord to be wound on a circumferential surface thereof, and rotating centering on a central axis; and a spiral spring(90) having one end connected with the bobbin, and the other end is supported to elastically rotate the bobbin in a direction in which the power cord is wound. The cord reel assembly is attached to an inside of a cabinet, or an upper side of a base pan(60). The power cord has one end on which a plug is formed to be coupled to an outlet, and the other end connected to the main body to supply electric power from the outlet to the main body. |
