PURPOSE: A system for testing a multi LAN cable and a method for testing a multi LAN cable by using the same are provided to perform the operation of LAN cable test in a short time by performing the testing operation with moving the remote device. CONSTITUTION: A system for testing a multi LAN cable includes a master device(200) and a remote device(300). The master device(200) receives at least one LAN cable(100) provided with 2n number of cores, transmits subsequently the check signal to identify whether the LAN cable is normal or not through the first core among the units by employing 2 cores among the 2n number of cores as one unit and detects whether the LAN cable is normal or not based on the response signal subsequently received from the two cores. And, the remote device(300) receives the other end of the LAN cable provided with 2n cores, forms n number of loops by electrically connecting the first core to the second core, identifies as a normal when the current flowing along the first direction through the formed loop is sensed, identifies as an abnormal when the current flowing along the second direction reverse to the first direction is sensed, and displays the identified information.
