ANION GENERATOR FOR AIR CLEANER

PURPOSE: An anion generator for an air cleaner is provided to continuously generate a large amount of anions without generating harmful ozone, thereby giving comfort to people who breath indoor. CONSTITUTION: The anion generator for an air cleaner comprises a power supply device(12) for connecting a cathode (-) high tension line(15) to an activated carbon(11). An anode of the power supply device(12) connects a (+) high tension line(16) to an insulator(14). The power supply device(12) comprises a voltage controller(13) to apply a cathode direct current high voltage to the activated carbon(11). Since the (-) high tension line(15) of the cathode is connected to the activated carbon(11), a (-) high voltage is supplied to the activated carbon(11) and a (+) high voltage flows into the insulator(14). The activated carbon(11) which has a carbon as an element generates a large amount of anions by applying electric energy.
