FIELD: road building, particularly devices for driving metal posts of road safety fences, poles of road signs and other metal members into ground. ^ SUBSTANCE: device has body into which beetle part formed as heavy hammer and fixedly connected to console, mechanism for lifting and releasing beetle part and case connectable with post to be driven are arranged. Mechanism for lifting and releasing beetle part is made as cam and spring, console is pivotally connected with body. Cam exerts influence upon console from bottom thereof. Spring exerts influence upon console from top thereof. Device is assembled on stationary vertical guiding member and may be lowered by its gravity as post immerses into ground. Spring may be preliminary compressed. Cam profile is formed in accordance with Archimedes's spiral. Frictionless bearings with source of lubricant for all service device life are secured to console such that frictionless bearings cooperate with profiled cam surface. Device has mechanism for automatic device switching-off when post is immersed into ground for desired depth relative ground level. ^ EFFECT: simplified structure, increased reliability, reduced cost, extended technological capabilities and enhanced usability. ^ 5 cl, 1 dwg |
