FIELD: optics. SUBSTANCE: objective-gradan represents a monolens made of optical material with a radial distribution of the refraction index with relation where n(r) is the distribution of the material refraction in objective radius; n0 - refraction at optical axis; g - the coefficient characterizing the material focal power; h4, h6, h8 - the coefficients determining the qualitative indices of optical medium; r - the present distance from the optical axis. The radii of the spherical end surfaces and the objective lens correspond to the minimum aberrations at the maximum angle of view and relations given in the claim. The objective is made with geometric dimensions and of a material satisfying at the same time to the following requirements: coefficient g of the material focal power is less than 0.55, objective length Z is less than pi/(2g), and coefficients g, h4, h6, h8 satisfy the relation: .
