1,049,313. Terminals. R. E. LAWLOR, and P. A. CORNELL. Oct. 21, 1964 [Oct. 28,1963], No. 42996/64. Heading H2E. In an electrical terminal comprising two members A, B, each having a split cylindrical portion 10, 20 and an apertured tail 13, 23, the member A fits inside the member B and is capable of limited rotation with respect to the latter. Each member has two diametrically opposite apertures 11, 12; 21, 22 which become aligned when the tail portions 13, 23 are divergent, and a deformable metal retainer sleeve C is inserted through the apertures. In use a cable end 31 is inserted into the retainer sleeve C and the tail piece 23 is moved downwards by a screw 34, Fig. 4 (not shown), so that the cable with the sleeve C becomes pinched between the two members A, B. The members A, B may be made from strap metal, and the ends of the sleeve C may be riveted to the member B. |
