FIELD: postharvest treatment of grain before laying for storage. SUBSTANCE: method involves treating grain with propionic acid including additive of chitosan, arachidonic acid and eicosapentaenic acid until film is formed on surface of each corn. Preparation used as source of chitosan, arachidonic acid and eicosapentaenic acid adapted for adding into propionic acid is produced by sequential extracting of Pythium irregulare micromycet biomass with the use of non-polar extractant in above-critical state, water, alkaline, water, acid, water, alkaline, and water, followed by joining of first extract with solid residue.
