PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure stable image quality by preventing image shift or ununiform glossiness which is liable to be caused in a belt system fixing device. SOLUTION: A fixing belt 40 is stretched between a support heat roller 41 having a heat source and a movable support guide roller 42 supported by a support shaft 49 such that it has a support point 48 as its turning center. An internal pressure roller 43 is disposed inside the fixing belt 40 whereas an external pressure roller 44 is disposed outside the fixing belt 40. When heat and pressure is applied to a transfer material, the support guide roller 42 and the external pressure roller 44 form a preceding pressure area via the fixing belt 40 while the internal pressure roller 43 and the external pressure roller 44 form a main pressure area via the belt 40. The support shaft 49 or an extension line in the direction of the support point of the support shaft 49 crosses the entering fixing belt 40 or an extension line from the fixing belt 40.
