PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cope with the increase in the number of held balls even with a present memory capacity by storing a lottery result with a small memory capacity. SOLUTION: Since information on the lottery result in winning/losing is given by using 4 bits in a single byte (8 bits) and these 4 bits become a big winning pattern random number value as they are, the storage capacity for one holding can be within 1 byte. Since the residual bits (bit No. 7) of this 1 byte can be utilized as the drawing result of an added value such as probability variation/probability no-variation, the storage capacity can be made to be 1/3 if the number of the held balls is 4 like a conventional machine. Putting it in another way, the storage capacity for the tripple number of held balls can be secured by a conventional storage capacity. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
