<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool for guarding an exposed leg from unpleasant pest insects such as a flying pest insect such as a mosquito, a fly, a bee, a stinkbug and a leafhopper, and a creeping pest insect such as Tarsonemidae, a cockroach, a spider and an ant, and the like, and to provide a method for repelling unpleasant pest insect from a human body. <P>SOLUTION: The pest-repellent leg band is obtained by allowing a constituent material of the leg band to contain a natural insect-controlling component such as a vegetable essential oil and hinokitiol.
