PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display panel which can easily prevent an optical malfunction of an IC (Integrated Circuit) chip at a low cost.

SOLUTION: A light shielding film 3 for the chip for the purpose of shielding the incident light on the circuit surface of the IC chip 5 is formed between a substrate 2 and a terminal 4 of an element forming section 2Ra.
