PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect a place easy to be collapsed by rainwater such as a slope of a ridge between rice fields or an earth piled road surface by using a cover member capable of flexibly corresponding to the shape of a surface to be protected such as a ridge between rice fields by a structure having excellent wind-resistant ability. SOLUTION: This protecting structure is formed of a sheet-like cover member 11 having flexibility, a receiver bar body 2 formed into a desirable length, and a stopper plate 3 provided with a receiver bar body holding part 32 in the upper part thereof. The end of a cover member for covering the surface to be protected is arranged along the receiver bar body, and the cover member is pinched between the holding part and the receiver bar body for integration, and a stopper plate is inserted into the ground.
