PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flooring excellent in caster resistance and water resistance capable of eliminating application work of a coloring paint to a groove, at the same, having a spatial effect (deep effect) and increasing architectural design efficiency. SOLUTION: The flooring 1 is so constituted that a facing sheet 3 is stuck on the surface of a woody basic material 2 and that it includes a recess section 10 locating the deepest section on the woody basic material from the facing sheet side. A plane strip shaped gradation design 30 consecutively varied from a dark color to a light color in the direction separating from each other by holding the recess section from both shoulder end edges 11 of the recess section on both sides of the recess section is formed in the facing sheet.
