PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pantile which is drastically improved in nailing effect compared with that in a conventional technique, and eliminates large waste of using an auxiliary wooden stiffener for nailing together with the pantile, the wooden stiffener being indispensable in the conventional technique, by forming a nail hole for allowing insertion of a tile fixing nail therein, in the pantile at a specific location different from a location in a conventional pantile. SOLUTION: The nail hole for allowing insertion of the tile fixing nail therein is formed in the pantile at a location where the pantiles are superposed on each other. More specifically, the nail hole formed in the upper-stage pantile is located immediately above an abutting gap formed at a location at which the lower-stage adjacent pantiles abut on each other. The abutting gap is also a gap formed at a location at which notches formed corner portions of the respective adjacent pantiles engage with each other. Preferably the nail hole has an annular protrusion formed on the periphery thereof, for preventing rainwater from flowing therein and reinforcing the rim of the hole. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
