PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal printer in which modification in the design and production of a thermal head is not required for various thicknesses of a thermal sheet or various conditions of inserting position and a highly efficient work is ensured while saving the number of components. SOLUTION: Central shaft of a thermal printer head having a cylindrical structure is set in the housing of a thermal printer through a press unit 6, e.g. a spring, and a thermal sheet can be applied directly toward a thermal head heater 11. In order to transmit heat generated from the heater efficiently to the thermal sheet, the cylindrical thermal printer head can be adjusted through rotation such that the contact face of the thermal head heater and the thermal sheet is located in the elongating pressing direction of the press unit.
