DURABLE WATER PERMEABILITY IMPARTING AGENT AND WATER-PERMEABLE FIBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water permeability imparting agent for hydrophobic fibers affording a surface material of a water absorbing article smoothly absorbing an aqueous liquid with slight lowering of absorption even when the aqueous liquid such as a body fluid is repetitively permeated. SOLUTION: The water permeability imparting agent for the hydrophobic fibers comprises a fatty acid ester (A) having 9.0-11.5 HLB and a fatty acid ester having 6.5-8.5 HLB. The amount of (A) based on the total mass of (A) and (B) is 40-90 mass% and the amount of (B) based on the same is 10-60 mass%. Furthermore, the water permeability imparting agent for the hydrophobic fibers comprises a polyethylene glycol fatty acid ester (C) having 6.6-9.8 HLB and≥4 degree of polymerization and a polyhydric alcohol fatty acid ester (B1) having 6.5-8.5 HLB and 0-2 number of ether groups. The amount of (C) based on the total mass of (C) and (B1) is 40-90 mass% and the amount of (B1) based on the same is 10-60 mass%. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
