PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a high-density, high-quality metallic sintered compact with high production efficiency. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the metallic sintered compact, a mixture prepared by mixing metal powder with an organic binder is injection molded, degreased and sintered. In the metal powder, water atomized powder prepared by a water atomization process and gas atomized powder prepared by a gas atomization process are contained in amounts of 50 to 88wt.% and 50 to 12wt.%, respectively. Preferred amounts of the water atomized powder and the gas atomized powder are 75wt.% and 25wt.%, respectively. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
