PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plating apparatus in which metals to be plated on a hoop worked into a terminal fitting or the like can easily be changed. SOLUTION: The plating apparatus 1 plates a hoop 2 to be worked into a terminal fitting. The plating apparatus 1 is provided with a pretreatment unit 10, a nickel plating unit 11, a gold plating unit 12 and a posttreatment unit 14. The units 10, 11, 12 and 14 are provided with frames freely attachable and detachable each other. The pretreatment unit 10 is provided with a degreasing tub 23, pure water tubs 24 and 25, a degreasing tank and a pure water tank. A sodium hydroxide solution circulates between the degreasing tub 23 and the degreasing tank. Pure water circulates between the pure water tubs 24 and 25 and the pure water tank. The pretreatment unit 10 performs degreasing and acidifying to the hoop 2. The nickel plating unit 11 applies plating of nickel to the hoop 2. The gold plating unit 12 applies plating of gold to a part of the hoop 2. The posttreatment unit 14 applies plating of tin to the hoop 2, and cleans and dries the same. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
