PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot rolled steel sheet which can suppress the occurrence of secondary shearing when a clearance is reduced for improving the precision of a cut face and which has excellent blanking properties. SOLUTION: The hot rolled steel sheet having excellent blanking properties has a composition comprising, by mass, 0.05 to 0.12% C,≥0.3% Mn, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities. If required, 0.05 to 0.2% Si is added to the hot rolled steel sheet, and if further required, the content of S is limited to≤0.01%. The standard deviation of the Mn concentration in the steel sheet is made to be≤20% of the total Mn concentration. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
