PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a vinyl chloride resin for paste processing in which temperature increase at the end of polymerization reaction is suppressed and an aqueous dispersion after the polymerization in which polymerization reaction is stabilized is excellent in latex stability. SOLUTION: The method for producing a vinyl chloride resin for paste processing comprises subjecting a vinyl chloride monomer or a mixture of the vinyl chloride monomer and a vinyl monomer copolymerizable with the vinyl chloride monomer (hereinafter, vinyl chloride-based monomer) to polymerization reaction in the presence of a surfactant and an initiator in an aqueous medium. The vinyl chloride-based monomer is charged into a polymerizer such that 30-80% of the total charge is charged before the polymerization reaction and the remaining 20-70% is charged after the polymerization reaction temperature is reached. The temperature of the vinyl chloride-based monomer to, be charged after the polymerization temperature is reached, is cooled to 5-30°C before charging. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
