PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vegetable harvester capable of changing the height of a sled 18 relative to a work frame 11 in a labor-saving way from any position on the machine body 2 and designed to prevent the sled 18 from eccentric abrasion in early stages and/or increase in sliding resistance and also secure the height of the lowermost position of the sled 18 above the ground enough. SOLUTION: The vegetable harvester includes the work frame 11 vertically movable relative to the machine body 2 and, in front of the work frame 11, a pull device 3 for nipping the stem root A2 of a head vegetable A and pulling it and the sled 18 in contact with the ground for supporting the front portion of the work frame 11, and also includes a means 5a designed for the sled 18 to support said work frame 11 so that the sled 18 be vertically movable in such a condition as to be kept in a nearly horizontal posture in the longitudinal direction, and a power driving means 35 for vertically moving the sled 18 relative to the work frame 11.
